Waxing is still one of the most highly demanded treatments where you can see instant results and earn almost immediately. You will master the technique of hair removal with wax, safely and efficiently, to ensure a smooth and hair free finish to the legs, arms, face, bikini, abdomen and underarm. We will also give you an introduction to other hair removal products should you wish to proceed to advanced waxing skills after completing this course.

Unlike our Waxing course, our Elite Waxing course has the inclusion of NVQ training. This remains combined with the intensive, short-course training we are renowned for, so that you can get qualified and work-ready quickly! We recommend this course for anyone who wishes to work in a salon or spa on completion of their training.

Elite Waxing NVQ Level 2 Course Content

Theory sessions will cover:

  • Introduction to waxing
  • Health & Safety in relation to waxing
  • Theory - on course notes and hygiene COSHH
  • Trolley set up - equipment used for waxing
  • Contra-indications and contra-actions
  • Structure of the skin and hair, basic principles of hair growth
  • A&P structure of hair, growth types of hair
  • Speed Waxing Techniques
  • Introduction to other types of waxing systems

Practical sessions will cover:

  • Leg waxing
  • Knees & toes
  • Demonstration of bikini and abdomen waxing
  • Underarm, face, upper lip, chip and brow
  • Practical practice with other waxing systems

What will I receive when I complete the course?

Once you successfully complete the Elite Waxing NVQ Level 2 training course you will receive The Carlton Institute Diploma.  This will enable you to obtain public liabiliy insurance.  You will also receive your NVQ Level 2 Waxing diploma after assessment and portfolio submission.

Entry requirement for Waxing

No previous experience is necessary to complete our Elite waxing courses.
