Indian Head Massages for Welsh Civil Servants

Headaches are one of the most common stress related conditions and are suffered by 95% of the population at some time. Nowadays, companies are experiencing the benefits of massage in the workplace!

The physical demands of long hours at the computer and the on-the-job high stress have made work stress reduction necessary. Consequently, stressed civil servants are being offered "de-stress massages" and complimentary therapies in their offices.

Last summer, the Welsh Government has put a contract out for tender to provide 'de-stress massage and other complementary therapies' for office workers. More than 5,000 civil servants will be offered massages by trained masseurs.

According to advert on the Welsh Government's own advertising website Sell2Wales:

"The minimum requirement is the provision of de-stress massage for staff, but suppliers are at liberty and encouraged to offer a costed breakdown of other therapies they may wish to offer staff."

"All suppliers working at Welsh Government offices, who are providing services as set out in this specification, are required to wear a uniform that they will need to provide themselves."

The Welsh Government says the service is part of its occupational health package. This massage does not necessitate the removal of clothes or the use of oils so it is ideally suited to the workplace.

Treat yourself and a loved one to a relaxing back and shoulder massage or Indian Head massage.

Massage courses are tailored for both novices and advanced practitioners. Students receive comprehensive practical training though physical demonstration and 'hands-on' learning, in addition to core and related theory, contra-indications, client care and maintaining health and professional standards.
