Nail Courses NVQ Level 2
Students wishing to be a Nail Technician in a salon, spa, or work on cruise ships or abroad, an NVQ Level 2 in Nail Services is essential.
Our nail courses cover Manicure and Pedicure on Day 1, Gel or Acrylic on Days 2 & 3 and Nail Art on Day 4. You will choose which system to work with when you attend our nail courses.

Earn whilst you learn - you can obtain public liability insurance enabling you to work on the paying public whilst studying for your NVQ.
Our nail courses are made up of 4 core subjects. You can complete all your nail courses within the same week or spread them out over a number of weeks.
Once you successfully complete your nail courses you will receive the Carlton Institute Diploma. This enables you to obtain public liability insurance.
Core Subjects
Our nail courses also includes the following units for home study:
- Fulfill salon reception duties
- Develop and maintain effectiveness at work
- Promote additional services or products to clients
- Ensure responsibility for actions to reduce risks to health and safety
What will I receive when I complete the course?
Once you successfully complete the nail courses you will receive The Carlton Institute Diploma. This will enable you to obtain public liabiliy insurance.
Get NVQ qualified and improve your employability
You can also obtain an NVQ qualification in Nail Services.
- Externally accredited qualifications increase your chances of getting jobs as employers recognise these qualifications as work ready.
- Accredited qualifications are recognised both nationally and internationally e.g. NVQ's in England & Wales and SVQ's in Scotland. The opportunity to work abroad or on cruise ships is significantly increased by having these qualifications accredited externally.
- You will be able to obtain public liability insurance.

Our Nail courses NVQ Level 2 can be completed at our Exmouth, Windsor, Brentwood, Cardiff, Malvern Spa, Glasgow, Derby, Tamworth, Durham, and Stockport training colleges.
Entry requirement for Nail Courses NVQ Level 2
No previous experience is necessary to complete our Nail Courses NVQ Level 2. It is a requirement for a uniform to be worn. View our uniforms.
